Welcome to my portfolio.

Elegon UI & UX
(Sep 2021 - March 2022)

Elegon is my most recent team project. It is a first person shooter game that takes the player into a fantasy world to fight off evil magicians that have invaded their castle.

For this project, I did all of the project's user interfaces and user experience design. This includes all of the project's menus, HUD, and effects used for the wand and enemies. I did this work in tandem with a few of my teammates who helped implement the finalized vision of the project shown in the video to the right.

During this project I developed the following skills:
   •   User Interface prototyping, testing, and implementation.
   •   Rapid testing and iteration of User Experience design work.
   •   Working alongside teammates to put my designs and ideas into                          a project.
   •   Planning and working through a team project from conception                            to release.
   •   Working on a Unity project that is stored within a source control.

Home Decor
(Sep - Dec 2021)

Home Decor is the largest personal project that I have ever worked. It is a game about being an interior decorator. To aid in immersing the player in the role, the game's perspective is in first-person with a silent character being controlled by the player.

For this project, I did everything from the C# Unity scripting to the artwork and modeling, with the assistance of my wife for some of the furniture models. This project was also one of the most problematic projects I've ever had to work on, due to the overall complexity of the technical details and systems that I had to create in order to make my vision for the project into reality.

During this project I developed the following skills:
  • Technical proficiency in Unity C# due to having to create and script all of the project's code and systems.
  • Dealing with difficult problems and finding solutions to them using the resources at my disposal, including asking for help from others where needed.
  • Planning, building, and testing a system with code from scratch with the user's experience and interactions with the system in mind.
  • Conceptualizing, planning, working, and completing a solo project from start to finish.

Below you will find code snippets for the systems I have created for this project.

Inferno Jumpers UI
(Jan - Apr 2020)

Inferno Jumpers was one of the first team projects I worked on.  It was an FPS game that combined piloting a mech with the urgent chaos of firefighting amidst fires.

For this project, I did all of the project's user interfaces, from main menu to game HUD. I was also heavily involved with the project's sound effects and music.

During this project I developed the following skills:

   •   User Interface prototyping, testing, and implementation.
   •   Technical proficiency in Unity C#, as I programmed all of the user                         interface and HUD functionality myself.
   •   Finding and implementing sound effects and music pieces into                             Unity projects.
   •   Planning and working through a team project from conception to                         release.
